Generating videos in Chat
One-off videos from a prompt, with an optional reference image — no setup.
When to use Chat
Chat is the quickest way to make a single video: one prompt, one clip. No template setup, no folder wiring. It's ideal for trying out models, one-off content, or experimenting with prompts before automating them in a template.
Generating a video
- Open Chat from the app menu.
- Describe the video you want — camera movement, lighting, mood. Example: "Slow cinematic orbit around a ceramic vase on a marble pedestal, soft studio lighting."
- Optionally attach a reference image (drag & drop works). Gen-4 Turbo requires an image; other models also accept text-only prompts.
- Pick the model, aspect ratio, duration, and (on Veo models) audio. The estimated credit cost updates as you change settings.
- Hit Generate. The clip appears in the conversation when it's ready, and the job is tracked on the Jobs page.
Delivery options
By default you download the finished clip right from the chat. If you've connected Dropbox or Google Drive, you can instead pick a destination folder and Videitos delivers the video there automatically.
Costs and failures
Credits are reserved when you hit Generate and only charged when the video succeeds — failed generations are refunded automatically. If you don't have enough credits, the app prompts you to top up. See How credits and pricing work.
